About p74

Family Owned Italian Restaurant in Colorado Springs, CO

Panino’s Restaurants have been serving the community of Colorado Springs for over 40 years. Pizza Plus on Tejon Street was the original Colorado Springs location. Pizza Plus was opened in 1974 by Tony and Evey Frasca, and Ma and Pa Sertich. The Sertich’s sold their interest shortly thereafter and the store has been operated by the Frasca family ever since.

In 1984, Mike Frasca (son of Tony and Evey Frasca) took over the Tejon location. In 1991, the original Pizza Plus restaurant was expanded and renamed Panino’s Restaurant. The name change came as a result of the popularity of the World Famous Panino Sandwich. Early 2013 saw another expansion and complete remodel of the Tejon Street store.

In 2017, Mike’s daughter, Christina Frasca, and her husband, Bobby Lashwood joined forces and began the vision of owning Panino’s as 3rd generation family members. The Tejon location saw its 3rd name change by the 3rd generation owners on Oct 4th, 2022, from Panino’s Downtown to P74: The Downtown Panino’s.

The 8th Street Restaurant was opened in 1982 by Trip Frasca (son of Tony and Evey Frasca). This location is now operated by 3rd generation owner, AJ Frasca. The Fort Collins Restaurant was opened in 2000 by Gail Dobson (daughter to Tony and Evey Frasca) and is now run by Marie and Jon Beck (daughter and son-in-law to Trip Frasca)

Currently, there are two Colorado Springs locations, one restaurant in Ft. Collins, Colorado, and a new style of store in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida called Trasca & Co. Eatery.

All of the locations have third-generation family member owners. Over the years, the Famous Panino Sandwich has become an increasingly popular menu item and many new types of Panino’s have been added to the menu. Many people choose to make up their own combination of ingredients to design a Panino that suits their individual tastes. With a large number of ingredients offered, an almost limitless number of different sandwiches are possible. Along with the Panino sandwich, the restaurants serve a large variety of Italian Pasta dishes, Pizza, Salads, and Prime Rib. The homemade Mud Pie is a favorite dessert item of our many loyal customers at all of our locations.

We had an event there and they were really great, they worked with us and our group requirements and made sure they had a staff member in the room at all times for anything we would need. We never had any mix ups and everyone in our group loved the dishes they ordered! I loved mine and was even thinking about how much I wanted more of it the next day- They had me craving more! Will definitely be going back!

Paninos is a Colorado institution! I've been going here since I was a kid and go for just about every celebration. Engagement? Paninos. Birthday? Paninos. Random Thursday because we want to get happy hour specials? Paninos.

Love this place! Always great food, high quality, every item I've tried has been excellent! Had lunch on the patio with my date! Absolutely lovely! Also being a bit away from the hussle/bustle of downtown proper is also very nice. Would recommend to anyone!!

Delicious local favorite for many years. I highly recommend Paninos for authentic, yet very creative food and great service. There are so many different things to eat that you must keep coming back time and time again so you can try them all.

I've been feasting on their Paninos since they were Pizza Plus over 30 years ago. Today we drove from Denver and Pueblo to have them. Still the same delicious Italian food that I've missed for years. Seems they increased the portions. Highly recommended if you love Italian specialties.
